Maruyama Park



Maruyama Park is located in north Maruyama primeval forest and next to the Hokkaido Shrine. This park has various facilities for sports, including, an athletic field, a tennis court, a baseball ground. This park is also well-known for cherry blossoms. In spring, so many people visit there for cherry blossom‐viewing picnic, and many people visit here in early May. There are also other many kinds of trees. Almost trees are tall, so it is cool and comfortable in summer, so many people keep themselves cool. Therefore in this season this park is full of men and women of all ages. You can also look squirrels. Next to Maruyama Park is Maruyama Zoo and an amusement park. It is crowded with parents and children in summer vacation.
How to get there; to get Maruyama Park, take the Sapporo city subway Tozai line to Maruyama Park station, and walk for about five minute from there.
